I still have an old 19" Samsung LCD that has served me well. I'd guess I sit 2' from it if I had to wager a guess, maybe 3? Depends what I'm doing (watching anime vs reading forums).

Anime FTW :)

"To be continued..." FTL :(

lol that's why I almost only watch completed series when possible. I *HATE* having to wait for new eps, and it *REALLY* sucks when series get canceled/licensed before completion.

just got a 24in lcd......its about 2 feet alway and i hate it. the text is either too big or too small and the pics are way to small. ohhhhhh i might even go back to the 7 year old dieing crt.

Run it in 1280x800 mode (native pixel-doubling mode), and it will look fantastic.

Ooops?

1280x800 is 3/2 of 1920x1200. Or 2/3, depending on how want to consider it. Still, I see your point. It's better to go with round factors when choosing a non-native resolution, so as to avoid as many "partial pixels" :p as possible.

Alternatively, 1440x900 is exactly 3/4 of 1920x1200

Damn, I was thinking of the 30" res :) Yeah, after messing around with various rez on various LCDs, it seems best by far to get ratios of 1:1 1:2 1:3, etc.

i have the lg246wp from bestbuys which goes back on sale next week so i am going to get a 100 price adjustment.

the thing is nothing looks as crisp as 1900x1200. not only that but its just wierd on a widescreen.
