You know, it's educational that so many people think you're a spoiled brat to react that way. Perhaps you should exercise some control, prove everyone wrong by leaving them for X-Mas. Of course you won't do that, because everyone is correct in their assessment of your character. The only people that have "defended" you were not defending your stance, but are instead the generic posters who pop in whenever flame fights start. Think about it.

rant: It sure sucks when your sons birthday is on the 20th and christmas is the 25th :p
So I guess you don't want your 4-year-old to believe in Santa, eh?

At my house, all of the big gifts for my little brother and sister are from my parents and Santa brings a few small toys. My mom always said she wanted a little recognition for buying the kids what they wanted.

He believes in Santa just his brothers birthday is the 15th of this month and his is the 20th so he thinks they are for him and his brother. Point was he knows that they are his and he cannot open them and doesnt throw a fit because he cannot like the op did. I would expect my 4 year old to go off in that fashon but he doesnt ask, sees the presents everyday all wrapped up, says these are for me and brother, and tells us how many days till he can open them. Doesnt go around going "This sucks they bought them, I know there mine, just give them to me now, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

If anything the wait will make it more fun thinking over the next 24 days on how your going to go about putting it together. I am sure your going to get games for it so having all the parts and games to go with the new system on the same day is going to make it hella fun.

Not go off in a rant because they are there and cant play with it right now:p
Just buck up, be the 13 year old your suposed to be, and tell your parents how much you love them and wait it out.

Your so lucky you got such a cool and expesive gift. When I turned 16 my parents bought me a car. A 1974 Plymouth duster. Held together somehow by rust, sheet metal, and rivits. Ran on 5 out of 6 cylinders because the valve was warped. Had rust hole air conditioning, and the nylon threads were coming out of what was left of the tires. I knew about it a head of time and was sitting in my drive way but I couldnt touch it till my 16th birthday. Never once did I throw a fit, granted when they all went somewhere I would find the keys and start it but I never bugged my parents. We were hella poor and that was the best gift I was ever given. OH it was that and a battery charger later because the ALT was dead and I had to charge it every night. Drove that car till I delivered enough pizzas to get my 1964 ford econoline van.

The computer you have now is a great one so it hurts you woul dhave such selfish feeling about it and not think of the joy its going to put on your parents face they day you open all of that up.

I would find it and secretly build it and put my old comp parts where the new ones were hidden. Parents wouldnt notice the difference.

Well I decided to hold of till' Christmas. I guess you guys were right. I'm a bit spoiled. Plus I like being excited for something. And when that day comes it will be like heaven on earth. I've already bought my games for it so I just run it on this Dell for now. I wouldn't have gotten internet until Christmas if I would have put it together. But Mods you can still leave my name like this because I do have a Opteron just not in a socket.

Thanks AT for making me realize alot of people arn't as lucky as I am. :D

I think the people here who critisized you are jackasses. You got your parts and its only natural to want to build it right then and there.

You know, instead of creating that sob story, you could have instead purchased an alternator for your car from a junkyard for a few $$......
