I do respect your decision OG, but I do wonder if you understand why it was recommended. I, too, would like to see this thread die but let me just say this. In time, you'll see why it was the correct decision. Heck, I'd estimate you've hereby improved your odds of losing your virginity by age 18 on the order of 15%. That alone is worth the 3 week wait.

I still recommend you put the system together in case you need to return something.

I'm actually getting a bunch f parts to build a new PC for X-Mas, too. My dad still hasn't ordered anything(that I know of...) D:

I've been a Mac person all of my life, and have finally convinced my dad to get me a PC.
For my 17th X-Mas.

Funny, I heard that gay people have trouble with spelling

:)

Anyone notice that this monster thread almost got bumped to #2 spot by the nVidia viral marketing thread? They locked it though so this one will reign supreme for the time being.

consider yourself lucky. my parents dont buy a computer that often, maybe every 4-5 years, and then, its the family computer, not my computer. however, we've been building them since 1992 or so. last year, i finally convinced my parents to upgrade our celeron 400mhz to the rig i have now. we arent poor or anything, far from it. its just not their priority. they would rather buy a car, or buy some other crap that i dont have any interest in. i mean, i am the only one that uses it for gaming, my parents can get by with the old celeron. but for sure, when i have a family, computers will be at the top of my spending list. :)
