How does English sound to someone who doesnt speak it?

it's all r's and s's to them. i've heard japanese people imitating english, and they just string together a bunch of them the way english speakers string together chongs and chings when imitating asian languages. at first you're like, "we don't sound like that," but then if you listen carefully and tune out the meanings of the words, you realize we really do sound like that. mostly hard r's and s's.

i was once facisnated in this. one day at a meeting at work and i must say a very boring meeting, i zoned out and shut off my brain to the words and just listened to the sounds. to me it souned very much like combination of swedish and french.

No different as it is for us who speak English and listen to other language being spoken, sounds like made up crap and has no real meaning for you dont understand it. Sure you may get a word or two in there because it sounds close to something we may say, or heard it before like a cuss word, but other then that no different.
