His biological clock should wake him up if he has regular sleep patterns...

A friend of mine used to live in the dorms with a profoundly deaf person. He could hear a little bit with hearing aids. The first night they moved in together, he goes to sleep. Sometime in the morning, these air horns start going off in the room. He jumps out of bed wondering wtf is going on. He wakes up the deaf guy and is yelling at him telling him there is a fire or something and they have to get out. The deaf guy wakes up and tells him that the sound is his alarm clock. After that, they made an arrangement to where my friend would just wake up early and wake the deaf guy up.

Yeah - I've been sending on avg between 600-800 msgs a month. It's mainly b/c I have AIM linked to my phone. Good thing Verizon is only charging $3 for unlimited msgs till July!

My sister and brother are the two worst people to wake up in the world. I'm not much better. Something to shake the bed to wake up isn't a bad thing. I don't have one, but if my alarm clock breaks in the next 2 weeks, I'd probably buy one, as I've been spending a baker's assload of money this month. I go through shopping phases.
