Mamma Universe lay with Pappa Universe, and together they gave birth to Baby Universe, which we affectionately refer to as "the universe."

Nothing can never seek to be something. If there is nothing, there will always be nothing. Therefore, there is, and always has been, something.

EDIT: You can give yourself the greatest mindfudge ever if you think about this enough.

How are we supposed to discuss such a vast and all-encompssing idea that for all plausible purposes on here would remain unscientific.

How do I think the universe was created?

Dillution.

Why?

I would get no solice in knowing why. It would give my life no more meaning than it already has, and would inevitable get me lost in a sea of perpetual questioning from which I woudl never escape.

Basically, asking nerds the meaning of life will not by any means yeild a answer that will satisfy you. we come from a variety of backgrounds that have cultivated into this forum enviroment that you see here, and psoing such a question to diehard technical enthusiasts is reckless at best.

Alright, I suppose it was just to show my theory to everyone else. And this topic is how you think it all started.

God I hate Nevada... I drove through it last August with no air conditioning. I couldn't believe people could live in Vegas.. it's like being in a sauna 24/7.

I find that, because of their own mortality, humans tend to have a need to create a beginning and an end for inanimate things that could quite easily have no beginning or end. Sure, an infinite and eternal universe might violate Oblers' Paradox, but that's just speculation and hypothesis, not physical law.

The Jatravartid People of Viltvodle Six firmly believe that the entire universe was sneezed out of the nose of a being called The Great Green Arkleseizure. They live in perpetual fear of the time they call The Coming Of The Great White Handkerchief.

I guess that is true if by something you mean "nothing" and the physics that would accompany "nothing"

Why did it have to be created? Ultimately something has to have always existed in the universe. Nothing created it... it has always existed. How it got into its current form is a whole different story. Maybe big bang, maybe god, maybe bugs bunny... who knows.

Personally, I'm hoping that our universe is just a little "bubble" on the "edge" of another universe... sort of like the handle on a coffee cup. And the cup has a lot of handles. Then, we can try to figure out the origin of the "main" universe. If I'm not mistaken, this theory of before the big bang still neatly with the big bang theory.

God is really a non-corporeal being made of pure energy esisting in ten dimensions. He used his vast power to turn some of his energy into matter (e=mc^2), and thus our 3 dimensional subuverse was born.

I did it. I sucessfully bridged religion and science, the world will nevar be the same!!!

Black holes are not "everything into nothing". The big bang theory doesn't explain anything about creation, just how the universe got to it's current state.

There are only 2 things. You believe God did it, or you believe it all just happened magically somehow. Science does not allow something to come from nothing.

a giant bird hatched an egg... and inside the egg was this universe, and in this universe was....

no really, how the hell should we know.
