How do you think the universe was created?

I'll start off my idea;

A singularity is when a star collapes and a blackhole is created. Everything is sucked into that blackhole, matter, light, time, even space itself. Its unknown whether or not anything can come back out of a blackhole, but scientists speculate that it can't. An easy way to put a singularity is 'everything into nothing'.

Now what happens when you reverse that process? 'Nothing into everything'. Basiclly, thats the reverse of a singularity, where time, matter, space and everything comes back out.

But what caused this 'big bang'?
Nobody really knows yet, we can only speculate to how the universe was formed. The best I can say is that the fundamental field in nature is the gravitational field, and out of this and its weird quantum properties, the stage was somehow set for everything else we can identify in the physical world including time and space. We do not, however, understand what the gravitational field 'is' in any real fundamental way. We know how it operates but that is not exactly the same as understanding its actual nature. Physicists who are investigating String Theory are trying to understand what gravity is, but we will have to wait for them to give us some concrete predictions we can go out and test to confirm if their ideas are on the mark or not.

the last person i told the answer too.... his head exploded.

also, it has recently been discussed in the scientific community that black holes are not as destructive as previouisly thought.

I hate this type of topic. It makes me think about death. I don't want to die.

we won't ever know, i don't think this is even worth speculating about...unless of course you are getting paid to do so.

Its not news or politics. I thought the highly technical forum had to be related to technology.

In the beginning, the Universe was created. This was widely regarded as a bad move and made many people very angry.

How are we supposed to discuss such a vast and all-encompssing idea that for all plausible purposes on here would remain unscientific.

How do I think the universe was created?

Dillution.

Why?

I would get no solice in knowing why. It would give my life no more meaning than it already has, and would inevitable get me lost in a sea of perpetual questioning from which I woudl never escape.

Basically, asking nerds the meaning of life will not by any means yeild a answer that will satisfy you. we come from a variety of backgrounds that have cultivated into this forum enviroment that you see here, and psoing such a question to diehard technical enthusiasts is reckless at best.

I've always wondered what complete nothingness would be like. But how could I ever comprehend such a state if there was nothing to comprehend? There wouldn't even be black space out there... just absolutely nothing in existence. bah

I personally believe that matter existed before the existence of the universe, but in an energy free state. The universe was created when Time came into existence, instantly creating massive quantities of energy in this matter, resulting in kinetic release we call the Big Bang. Time was created when God wanted to go see Episode 3, but his wife was primping in the bathroom.

"Nothing" is unstable and wants to be "something". "Nothing" will occasionally turn into "something" and depending on the physics of that "something" it may be a viable universe or return to "nothing". If the universe is viable eventually everything will decay and there will again be "nothing" which will seek to become "something"
