If it isn't a lot of money i'd say go for it. If it's some rare book and worth a lot, maybe not. Could be a scam (Stolen paypal account, having the item shipped somewhere else, not the address confirmed by paypal)

I know I've read about someone who makes a living doing that on ebay. Find books that they know they can sell to someone for more, and have the ebay seller ship them directly.
I don't think I'd do it just in case there was a shipping problem. I would politely decline saying, "Sorry, I prefer to deliver the item to the person who is paying for it."

Doesn't this just reek of an "Item not received" neg feedback?

I don't trust book dealers. But this is mostly because of my experience watching the 9th gate.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. "I didn't get my Item! they shipped it to the wrong address"
Dude, don't do it.
