How do you remove warts from your hands?

Two words: Islamic Justice. No hands, no warts. This is the only method that guarantees no more hand warts, ever.

I used to have four, two on each hand (near the nails, there's some name for it but I forget). I tried the liquids, the pads, everything except going to the DR cause I didn't want them burned or cut off or something. I even tried cutting them myself *cringes at the memory*

after about two years, I just started carrying a little bottle of Curel lotion around with me, and rubbed the lotion into them CONSTANTLY. Never let them get dry, put lotion with bandaids covering them on at night. I don't know if it was the lotion, or if they were just going away, but when I started with the lotion, they went away within a couple weeks.

Now the skin is still a little sensitive where they used to be (it's been a year and a half) but they haven't come back.

I currently have 11 warts on my hands, and three on my feet (plantar warts). Two of those warts are on the ends of my fingers, which is by far the most painful since they're right on the nerve. I've been to a dermatologist numerous times, and each time she uses Liquid Nitrogen to burn them off (not the spray either, she uses a Q-Tip to mash it into my hands). The pain was so unbearable once that I literally passed out on her table.

Yet no matter what, the warts keep coming back (it's been 9 years now). Needless to say she's no longer my dermatologist. I'm looking into some over the counter stuff (which never worked before on me....did for my brother though). I'm also looking to find a new dermatologist, one that doesn't like to see their patients pass out.

It all depends on where the wart is. I had a really bad one on my finger right next to the nail. The doctor said that this was from my habit of scratching the cuticals, which almost everyone does. After I beleive he said 10,000 times you get enough protein buildup under the skin that it'll cause it to keep repairing itself, even though it isn;t damaged. The good thing is that these will go away by themselves.

<< it's a virus that stays in your body for about 2 years >>

2 years? How about a lifetime? The actual virus that causes warts (HPV) *never* leaves your body. Sorry... 😀

I don't know if this is true, but I heard that warts can be caused by a stressed immune system.

The only time I ever got a wart was when I had a flu virus. I never had anything like it before, then one day, I noticed this bumb on my thumb. It just kept growing bigger and bigger. I struggled with it for about 6 months. Tried to dig it out with nailclippers, but it didn't work. It kept getting larger and scalier. I tried Compoud W, but that didn't work. Finally, I didn't want to pay for the Compoud W, so I bought the cheap Wal-Mart "Equate" brand of wart remover for $1.50. That stuff worked miracles and my wart was gone in about a week after 6 months of struggling with it.

Since then, I watch what I eat and take vitamins. I haven't had a problem since.

I had a SMALL one on my middle finger. Dr. used a laser to burn it off (after giving me novicane first). Burning Skin stinks, wish he had given my nose novicane! Anyway, took about 10minutes and no pain that I can remember. It worked, but, that spot is a little tougher than the rest of my finger. Not sure if other methods leave a less noticible scar. (Only I can see it though). It hasn't returned after ~10 years.

My wife used Compund W on hers, took like 2mo's of repeated application but it went away. The Compound W stuff isn't cheap, so, I'd choose the Dr over it.
