How do you remove warts from your hands?

Stop grabbin' them toads !!

Seriously, you could use a wart remover like Compound W and a bandaid to cover it up for a couple days

They've got little pads (Dr. Scholl's, I think) that you just stick on your warts. My friend did that, they went away pretty quickly. Or if you need them gone in a hurry, my teacher got one removed off his lip surgically.

Go pick up some dr. scholls from your local drug store or some sort of salicylic acid (takes several weeks). Or go to your doctor and they'll use some liquid nitrogen to freeze the sucker off (take a few days). Sounds fun eh?

Warts are caused by viruses, so you could potentially spread them to other people or other parts of your body if you know what I mean. Keep you hands to yourself and away from other body parts that you don't want to be exposed to liquid nitrogen.

Freeze spray from any electrical store, freeze it then hit it with a hammer... works every time

Go to the doctors and get some liquid nitrogen sprayed on them - it hurts A LOT but best way to remove them!

man.................... i remmeber those nitrogen burns.... they blister you so much!!
(especially the small, young warts), since there is not much to burn, the blister gets
super huge.....

Have you tried asking them to go away. I used to get them in my feet. I cut the calous off with a razor blade and let the little root harden up. Then I'd separate them with a pin and grab um with a tweezers and yank un out one at a time. They'd always leave a little pool of blood in the hole where they'd been.

Get some canned air and freeze the damn thing off! Just turn the can upside down and spray it, it will be liquid rather than gas.... and it will be VERY cold.

Depends on the type of wart & the size, I had one cut out twice & then they use a cauterizer to burn the bleeding blood vessles. Hurt like crazy.

Most common is the liquid nitrogen treatment.

The Pads have never worked for me & take to long.

I think I'm gonna be sick... :disgust:

Seriously, don't cut, burn or chew'em off! That'll leave a mark.
Use them pads and they'll be gone in no-time! 🙂

When I was young I had a wart on the outside of my pinkie finger. I was walking a friend's dog one day, he didn't know where the dog was and called him. The dog yanked on the leash, which was loose. Result-no more wart, lots of blood-but at least the pain was quick.

If I had to do it again, I would go the dermatologist route.

A wart is a nasty thing to say the least. I had a interesting experience with one.

When i was young i didn't even know what a wart was. All I knew what there was something funky on my thumb... Anyways, I was probably about 10-11 years old and i was playing in a parking lot when I found a old broken watch. It interested me and as childish and curious as I was I took the thing apart and played around with it a little. As I played with it my wart started to bother me and so I used the clock-arm, which was very sharp, and started poking at it. Eventually I managed to pry off the entire wart! To this day it has yet to return. HAHAHA (evil laugh)

yes i know i'm a little weird =D

You'll find several brands of liquid wart remover at your local drugstore. Most are a colloidal suspension of the same. medication. Follow the directions. You put it on the wart, and it sets up as a hard white substance. When you get down to normal skin, it will sting a bit, but it will eventually get rid of the wart.

had a wart on my palm.tried using compund w for a couple of months, didnt work. then i had the wart surgically removed. doctor just took a scapel and cut away. thing is, warts are deep, i had a huge hole in my palm that he ended up giving me about 5 sticthes. freaking wart grew in the same spot about a year later. used compound w again for another couple months and finally went away. it's a virus that stays in your body for about 2 years, so who knows when another is going to surface. good luck man.

warts do a terrible job on a persons self-esteem.

BTW: i have a confession to make. to all those people whose hands i shook, i'am sorry if you have a wart now 🙁 i always felt guilty about that. dont even know if it's contagious like that, oh well. life goes on 😉

When I was little, like back in 2nd - 4th grade, I had about 15-20 warts on one hand(all on the back of my hand) and a few on the other hand. I tried compound w, and some pads for months and months and they never worked. Finally went to a dermatologist and they used liquid nitrogen to freeze them off. They basically had to spray my entire hand. And it doesnt hurt that bad 🙂

I had nitrogen sprayed on them twice, and within a week or two they were completely gone and I havn't seen another one in about 10 years

Definately a dermatologist and liquid nitrogen. Any other way is inferior in all aspects.

If you want to suffer needlessly, have them burned off with acid. You may have scars.
If you want to take a walk thru a medical museum, then have them burned off with electricity. You will probably have a scar.
Stinkin' drugstore stuff takes too long, and then often doesn't work anyway, tho you got to suffer for what--three weeks?

All doctors say they are qualified to remove warts, but you want a specialist. Go to a good dermatologist
who uses nitrogen.
