When talking about website postings or the number of "threads" an application has, how do you pronounce the word?

I've always pronounced it threed (kinda like Creed). (TH - READ)

It just sounds wierd to pronounce it Thread as in "Thread the needle"

I can't be the only one...

You can and would be the only one.

Threads always been TH - READ to me.

However i pronounce chassis KAY - SIS because i played alpha centauri when i was younger and didnt know the word was SHA - SAY. I also pronounce vista as VEE -STA.

The sad thing here is that I can understand people on the internet having different pronunciations for words like "pwned" and "lol" because they aren't used in real language. But "thread" is a real word and has been for hundreds of years, the definitions having to do with internet forums or lines of code are based of the origonal having to do with string and are all said the same way.

You can indeed 😉

It's always been thread like threading a needle. I have been embarrassed with the pronunciation of other computer terms myself though.

Thred, like Fred. Fred is dead. End of thread. 😉

HOP POP. We like to hop. We like to hop, on top of Pop.
STOP. You must not hop on Pop.

There was a Fred rhyme somewhere in Hop on Pop, I can't remember it, so that will suffice.

Parody? There sure has been a lot of pronouncation threads lately.

I have a feeling the next one will be something like: "How Do You Pronounce Wood?" or something equally 😕-worthy.
