It is blatantly NEC, as in, N . E . C as people have said. I wasn't aware anyone wa enough of an @$$ to actually say neck. now, sata, that's a whole different matter, saarta 😉😛

Neck. And I pronounce 'sata' like the Dutch pronounce 'Satan' (not like you Americans do, you say Saet'n 😉).

N.E.C.

I've never heard anyone say "NECk".. I'd have to laugh if I heard that.

Ive been saying "NECk" since the 1983 release of Return of the Jedi. During the bar scene, a two foot alien is at the mic singing what sounded like "Lapti-Nec! Lapti-Nec said nothing...".

I dont remember if those words were audible enough in the movie, but they released a music video of it on MTV in 1983 to promote the movie and the words have been seared into my brain for TWENTY THREE YEARS NOW!!

Anybody else have a hard time resisting the urge to smack people who try to pronounce SATA? It's Serial A-T-A you dumbass.

Viper GTS

I hear NEC pronounced both ways, but I would say the proper way is N-E-C. SATA on the other hand, I don't think I've ever anyone call it Serial A-T-A, except for my boss before he realized that SATA and Serial ATA were the same thing.

Six syllables instead of two. "Sa-ter" is a lot easier to say.
