I had to let one rip so badly at a meeting this morning, I thought my bowels were gonna explode. They should do a study to determine if it's bad for your lower G.I. tract to hold it in.

Depends on the proximity of other olfactory systems.
If they're further away, silent but deadly.
Closeup, I'll hold it in until I can reasonably get up and I'll do the crop dust.
 
Its times like this i love being a tradie. I let her rip! Nearly killed an apprentice with my exhaust venting!
 
crop dust whenever possible. Sometimes though, you gotta just sneak up on a co-worker, while he's in is chair, and let fly at nose level.
 
I don't know about a meeting, however, one thing you could try is strategically placing mini-farts so that it is hard to tell who is doing the actual farting.

I work in an office environment with this asian guy that lets them rip in his cube all day long. They don't smell to the best of my knowledge, but are pretty damn loud. He sits in a cube and you can hear it pretty far away. People snicker at some of his louder ones and gets kinda awkward when someone from another area is in your office and start cracking up with a "what the hell?"
 
It's the worst when you're working, listening to music on your headphones, and fart only to realize that you have no idea how loud that fart actually was.
