How do you handle stupid neighbors?

So my neighbors have a habit of yelling at me to move my truck whenever I park it in front of there house. I've told them a million times that it is completely legal and that I'm doing nothing wrong. I've had it with there stupidity. Last night they threatened to call the cops if I did it again, so I politely flipped them off and told them to go inside before I have them deported ( I have no idea whether they're legal but it seemed to work).

So how would ATOT handle this civilly? I don't want to be an asshole and I don't want them to damage my truck for it. I just want them to understand that the street is public parking and to piss off.

LMFAO

Tell them to call the cops. Then they will learn that it is legal.

But, out of curiosity, why do you park there?

You are calling them stupid and you don't know the difference between "their" and "there?"

He who lives in glass house should not throw stones.

Oh and. . ."I don't want to be an asshole and I don't want them to damage my truck for it. I just want them to understand that the street is public parking and to piss off."

Should have maybe thought of that BEFORE you flipped them off and threatened them with a racially motivated threat of deportation!

Well we're talking in regards to the law, not grammar.

Go be a grammar Nazi in someone else's thread.

Spelling Nazi...since I assume you probably did know what you were intending to say but you just didn't know the correct spelling of this simple 5 letter word that millions of people use in daily conversations. Again. . .who's the stupid one in this situation? The way you handled it aims the blame squarely in your direction. If you wanted to have the upper hand then when they threatened to call the police you should have warmly invited them saying only, "Please do. Then we can end this silly argument for good once the cops come and inform you that I am perfectly within my rights to park my car there."

Dude - they live right next door to you. Why are you pissing them off?!

The best way to deal with idiot neighbors is to just ignore them.

Maybe your neighbors dislike looking at your POS truck as much as you do. Park in front of your own damn house.

First of all, it makes no difference whether they rent or own. They have every right to live there and you seem to be a bigot for making a comment like telling them they'll get deported. That probably "seemed to work" because they were in shock at what a jackass of a neighbor they have.

You are taking their parking spot. No Matlock, it isn't illegal, but it makes you the "stupid neighbor" to park in front of their house and get mad when they ask you not to. Its common courtesy to leave the spot in front of the house open to the person living there. I've had neighbors complain to me about the same thing and I understood and stopped parking there. It isn't that big of a deal and I appreciated the courtesy being reciprocated.

Becareful there. In Kalifornia that's considered discrimination and you could be charged with a Hate Crime.

In the eyes of Kali law your in the wrong for upseting the illegals. Now bend over and take it like the pleb you are.

why not park in front of your house?

but meh there is nothing they can do about it. long as you are not in the yard or blocking the drive.

Spelling/Grammar Nazi's are always the stupid one in this situation. The situation being one in which you offer your unsolicited opinions of ones writing on an informal public forum. Get a life.

If it's perfectly legal to park there and you can't park in front of your own house, then let them call the cops. Go up to them and explain it and tell them to call. I wouldn't piss them off by insulting them or whatever since you might find out they took a sh!t on your hood or something.

I'm the Jackass? That's a laugh.

I don't park in front of their house because I want to or because it is fun. When I get home at night there are no parking spots in front of my house. So I go for the first parking spot I see. Which usually just so happens to be in front of there house. First come , First serve. Now, every time I do this the wife or daughter come outside and start yelling at me to move my non-POS truck and I always just ignore. But after hearing this constantly and knowing I am in the right, I just had enough and I snapped. I didn't mean to make the illegal comment, which was completely unfounded. I just can't stand them complaining to me when I have done nothing wrong. I just want some advice on how to handle this civilly.
