indeed, the city dumps here take pretty well anything non toxic.

i dropped of a fullbed pickups worth of leftover sheetrock yesterday, have taken a water heater, fridge, and other crap...maybe its just stuff the city wont pickup, but you could take to a dump yourself.

Burn it? That's what we alwas do with crap that clutters the yard. Of course, it's pretty much entirely tree branches that we have.

Chances are the city will pick it up if you call for a special pickup, but they'll charge you by the yard.

Now I have a big upright vacuum that is broken because the lady who cleans my house is careless but I think that is small enough for the city to take. We have put sofas and stuff on the curb and people have taken them (I live on a busy street) but I don't think worthless junk would be taken in this manner.

I bet you'd be surprised what people will take, if it's free.

We'd burn it, but then, we live in a rural area, and the neighbors don't care.
