I perfer around, but across is FAR, FAR less messy. Thus, most people choose the across method.

Ditto.

It
would
be
like
posting

pretty
annoying
as
you
can
see.

So do you typewriter eaters eat apples, plum, peaches, and such the same way?

My option isn't there!

I stand my cob on one end, take a knife and cut the kernels off, and then eat with a fork. I don't like eating off the cob because the corn juice always squirts on my face when I take a bite.

Me too

Spherical objects have a much different aspect ratio so this is an apples and corn comparison.

I cut it off the cobb because I'm not a savage! ;) J/k I just don't like things getting stuck between my teeth.

I like across (one long row at a time if you will) since I break off the first few rows with the first few bites, then I can lift the kernels without busting them so I can bust them in my mouth. PS, I do salt only, no butter.

This is quite interesting.
I thought "around" would be more common.
very intersting.

I eat it across like a typewriter. What do you guys mean by "once around" and how to do you eat it "once around all in one bite?" I can imagine eating it around, but "once" around? In one bite?

I also use little corn holders that you jab into each end. Makes the job much easier. :)

Me too. I don't like touching food with my hands.

I eat it the same way you do. I can't honestly tell you how my wife eats it because I've never really noticed...or cared. Seems like kind of a stupid thing to harp on someone for though. I'd recommend you cut him off for a month! ;)

As in, she doesn't breathe, just gnaws all the way around and then swallows.
