Bury the dog and plant a tree on top. That way the dog will live on in your tree. It's the circle of life!

Thats exactly what I did when my dog passed away.

There's nothing in the rules thats says you guys have to be a$$holes every day of your lives. If you don't have anything constructive to add to this thread then I suggest you just move the fvck on. I swear some of have you no friggen compassion for other beings. Maybe one day when you guys grow up and move out from behind your monitors, and out of your parents houses', you'll realize there's more to life than just being a jacka$$ and the center of attention.

Did the dog make it?

She is still with us. The vet told me that she is not in any pain right now. He told us what to look for, and we will take her in when the time comes.

Glad she is not in any pain. We've had to put down two dogs that were terminally ill and in constant pain. Choosing to kill them to spare them any further pain is very difficult.

it's nice to hear that you're going to stay with her and make her as comfortable as possible till the end...if it comes soon 🙁

They might not care, but many others do 🙂
....best of luck to you. I've owned dogs all my life, so I sympathize with you.

I'm glad to hear that your dog isn't any pain. It's horrible to watch a beloved pet suffer and not much easier to put to sleep. As far as I know, you are allowed to bury animals on your property, even if you live in the city. My parent's house has quite the pet cemetary going in the back yard (large dog, cat, numerous small rodents, an iguana, etc.).

when my first dog had to be put to sleep, my dad was the one to take her to the vet. 🙁

i know it's hard, but ignore the idiots in the thread.

If she dies, I would suggest maybe wrapping her in a sheet, and putting her in a cardboard box until then. I don't think dead animals decay in just two days. Sorry, I hope she makes it 🙁

this seems so wrong to do. i would contact the humane society or aspca as suggested above.

My sentiments exactly.
