So ALL the people around him know about this and you think that HE doesn't? Unless the guy is supremely dense, HE ALREADY KNOWS. He either doesn't care, it's awkward for him, or he's just in denial.

just tell him but be prepared for him to be angry and disappointed .. a friend of mine wanted to date another friends brother and she said "well, how are we going to talk about guys now? how can you bitch about your boyfriend to me without me feeling in the middle or uncomfortable because its my brother?"

If everyone else knows and if he can guess it, it would be better to tell him straight out as a friend.
Give him the respect he deserves as a friend. I am sure if you are good friends he might mind alittle bit at first, but he'll know you are
probably better than some other guy that she could be with.

When it doubt just give her a good kiss right in front of him. And just try to play it off like you thought he already
knew.

He'll respect a face to face conversation. these things happen. its not your fault there are some nice jeans, I mean genes, in his family. :p

The real problems with you and him begin when you and she breakup...

Well, I called him and left a message on his voice mail. He probably isn't out of class yet. This is his first day of SBI training (State Beareu of Investigation). Probably not a good time to tell him since he will be doing gun targeting next week;) I basically told him that I needed to talk to him about something and that he probably already knows what it is.

But I have to talk to him on the phone b/c by the time I get a chance to meet face to face, he would have found out anyway. Things like this don't stay a secret long.

*Laughs* And will likely have completed his firearms training ;)

Best of luck!

I see it this way. He is protective of his sister, but he knows you well and you guys are best friends. I think it is safe to say he would rather it be you then some stranger which he knows nothing about. You have nothing to worry about.

You are going to apologize for not telling him before aren't you? I'd be pretty damn pissed if even my parents knew and I didn't. I guess it doesn't matter how this situation came to pass, but I'd be pretty pissed that a good friend didn't have the balls to just tell it to my face beforehand.

Besides that, you guys are both mature adults (hopefully), it really shouldn't be the end of the world. Is he and his sister very close? I'm not sure I'd want to be around if things between you and her ended badly.

This makes it an excellent time to tell him, IMO. Tell him before he gets good with the gun; it'll give you better odds of getting away in one piece :p

Seriously though - if everyone gets along as well as you say, it shouldn't be too big of a problem. He may not like it, but he'll get over it.

Phew, he just called me back. He said congratulations and that he'd make this ONE exception for me.

He said that he had sorta been noticing it for the past few months anyway. he said that he knows that I will take good care of her and she of me.

What a load off and what a friend!!! :)

Well, turns out that he was more upset at himself b/c today was his first day of SBI training. He didn't read the memo that he was supposed to wear a jacket and tie today. He showed up with neither...and he was the ONLY ONE to do so (out of about 30 people). He said he felt like so much of an ass. Then the instructor kept harping on it.

Guess he had worse things to worry about this his best friend going dating his sister;)

Ever done your sister? Cause I have.

:)

nice :)

I don't have a sister so I guess "sister" in this context is you playing "charm the wonder snake"

No, he mean't say that to your friend...a play on the old
"Got any naked pictures of your wife?"
"Hell, no"
"Want some?"

Yay! At least a few people got my joke :)
