How do i run an app designed for Windows 8 on Windows 7?

I have windows 7 64bit, is there a way for windows 7 to run an app in "compatibility mode for Windows 8"?
 
Negative. It probably needs the Metro hooks in Win8 for part of its work, which isn't something that can be replicated in Win7.
 
The SDK is using Windows 8 hypervisor to emulate/virtualise Windows phone 8 machines.

Win 7 does not have Win 8 hypervisor.
