How do I make certain muscles smaller?

So big obliques aren't exactly the best use of muscle mass in your body and it's worse for me too cuz I have pretty broad hips so the v-shape is hard to come by. Is there anyway to minimize the obliques besides losing fat? I will be losing fat soon but I'm bulking for now.

Waiting for them to get smaller from disuse is a little too passive for me I think.

Seriously though. No point in trying to make obliques smaller?

The only thing you can really do is 1) lose fat and 2) build up your shoulders and back. The only other option is them getting smaller from disuse; however, I don't expect that to have as much of an effect because many movements involve the obliques in one way or another. It'll be near impossible to shrink a certain muscle without really effecting others.

Mate, the issue isn't that your obliques are massive, it's that you haev a layer of fat over them (most people do). Get your bf% down and you will get the v taper down to your gonads. Just eat less carbs/ run/ swim/ cycle more
