How do I keep links from opening in a new window in FireFox?

I dont want a new window to ever open when I click a link in FireFox, I want just a new tab to open. How/where to I make it only open links in a new tab instead of a new window?

right click, open link in new tab.

If you have a scroll wheel mouse just click on the link you want to open with the scroll wheel button.

the Tabbrowser extension can handle it automatically for you. Any link that would go to a new window is redirected to a new tab. I'm sure there's other lighterweight extensions that can do this as well.
