2. get him to use extra detergent, and two sheets of bounce in the dryer
3. sometimes FOBs use some stuff on their hair... like oil or something. it smells AWFUL. Find his supply of said smelly-oily-hair-product, destroy it and replace it with american crew.
4. make sure he's not using the same towel EVERY FVCKING DAY, then leaving it out to dry in the room. this is bad, because now your room smells too.
5. while he's not looking, leave open boxes of baking soda* in his wardrobe, might help to absorb the smell.
*or anything similar
i had to live with a similar situation for a while. it sucked, but the good thing is that most FOBs are eager to adapt, if you take the time to talk to them.
also, get one of those air fresheners for your room that plug into a power outlet and have a little fan... works wonders in masking bad smells.

I know a guy who used to do that. He also had a hand towel that he would always use to dry his hands but never washed. I've never smelled anything so bad in my life...well there was that one bucket of something that had been sitting in the basement for months but the towel/hand towel smell comes in at second.

Damnit. Shower. Scrub with a scrubber or something and use Suave to get a regular man smell. Put on friggn deodorant. Use listerine. Wash your clothes once a week at least. Wash your towel once a week. Wash your sheets at least once a week and your pillowcase too. Wash your fitted sheet like once every 2 weeks at least. Vacuum the damn floor. Spray febreeze/lysol. Why
Ok, make him use good dryer sheets. Maybe the powder crap, but Bounce with freshness works pretty well for me. However, I think the powder may smell better. Maybe cuz I got used to bounce after 1 yr in college, but when I go home now and smell the drying powder that my mom uses instead of sheets, it smells a lot better on clothes.
How do people not know FOB? Maybe I'm from CA so I know very well. I dunno. I thought we say FOB in reference to Asians. I've never said it for Europeans. Then again, coming from a 60% Asian high school, maybe there's a reason we referred to all those Asian immigrants as FOBs. Hell my best friends are FOB.

I think it's all those heavy spices they eat. They permeate through the skin or something... I mean hell even if I eat a little garlic/onion I can definitely notice a change in the smell of my urine and sweat.

If he doesn't shower or need tp etc. why does he even need an apt.? He could just hang out in the library after dark or when it gets too cold.
Yet another thread that could be solved by just talking to the guy.
Clearly he just moved in. He's in your domain now. You own him, you tell him how it is, and if he doesn't like it, you don't make him feel welcome. I don't mean to come across as a jackass, but if it smells bad enough to warrant a post, then the smell is clearly not welcome. If he's the source of the smell... logically... he's not welcome.
