I was part of the PCStats forum and they were talking trash about the Anandtech forums, so I took a look at ATOT and became hooked ever since.

I had decided I wanted to build my own PC. So I googled for computer tech forums and found Anand. Loved it.

I was doing a high school research project, came across this site, and asked something in the forums.

Dont remember how, but I got into the reviews way back in 99.
Never even looked at the forums until 2000. Didnt bother signing up because I thought internet forums were stupid. (Still have little evidence to the contrary.)
Anyway, I lurked for a long time and one day I noticed a guy in Peripherals had a question about SPDIF and such. I made an account and posted just so I could help him.
I had an average of about .1 posts per day for a year.
Then I found OT. :D

I think It was the For Sale and For Trade forum. Came up in googles search engine. Wasn't until 6 months later I actually found the huge amount of information on this site helpful.
