my then boyfriend now husband. that was about 5 years ago.
I like it here, a lot, maybe too much 😱

I had a 25mhz 486 that I wanted to upgrade. Someone on usenet mentioned this site run by a 15 year old kid...

I started reading the main page in '99 because I had an unquenchable thirst for tech knowledge at that time. Started reading the forums because of the interesting discussions in GH.

But I'm no longer that interested in the main page or GH (interested in different kinds of tech now), OT and P&N are still good places to kill time.

I used to read the main page and started lurking in the forums. After a year or two I signed up. I hardly ever read the main website nowdays.

I'd been to AT before for reviews, but the official visco-elastic memory pillow thread brought to the forums. P&N sucked me in before I escaped to OT, where I can nef freely.

I was looking for information about certain components. I started browsing THG and AT, then found the forums. Hang out, then started posting. I practically stopped going to other sites and only reading posts here. It was like an obsession or something.

I was hanging on to virtualdr.com for god knows how long until I realized there were only about 3 people posting there. I searched and found Anandtech. The rest is history.

Checked out THG after reading something in Computer Shopper, from there to sharky extreme, then to AT after sharky mentioned it in the PIII 1.3Ghz Fiasco😀
