and on a 10" screen as we...
OH WAIT
well lets see... if its screen size you want
24 inch LCD = $200.
so obviously the difference between a 3inch screen and a 10 inch screen should be about $100
so obviously and ipad should cost about $299 + 100. Oh wait it costs $800.
for which I could buy a full laptop with a... wait for it... 17" screen.
FAIL.
a 4" dildo that costs half as much as a 10" dildo
both might do the same thing, but they're not the same at all.
and yet, neither one can compare to a real dick.
Did you even bother to actually look at that thing?
So, lower resolution than the iPad (probably using a TN panel as well), and you have to lug around a bunch of Blu-Rays. Yep, that's totally better.
And lulz at the reading light for the Kindle. So, your solution is to lug around a ton of extra junk, none of which is spectacular at what they do (which plenty aren't even better at doing their specific functions than a tablet), and would cost you more than an iPad?
You and Nik seem to have some very weird desire to carry around a bunch of stuff. That or you never go anywhere so you've never really understood the appeal of real portability.
As for smartphones, that's true to an extent, but a bigger display makes things like web browsing, reading, watching video, using as a GPS, sketching/painting, all much better, which means that a tablet is a better device in many ways.
So an e-reader with an eye relief screen, isnt better than an IPS which burns out your retina in low light? Reading on LCD base screens causes eye strain, and difficulty sleeping if you read right before bed.
So the <1MP ipad camera is better than a 10-14 MP camera and a 1080P/60FPS camcorder at taking phots/video? and better than 2MP web cam? Really, I had no idea these things werent very good at what they were designed to do.
Well lets see... I've covered reading...
So... for web browsing and web video, an ipad has a better web experience than a notebook or a desktop pc, with a full internet explorer/firefox/chrome on my 30 inch monitor?
Unless im on a plane, any real media i'll be watching will be on my 62inch 7.1 home theatre sytstem. and if im on a plane, ill be using my pocket blueray player.
if im in my vehicle, it has on-star built into it. so, ill never use an ipad for GPS. but an ipad is strictly worse than the typical magellan, tomtom devices which are already highly distributed throughout the market. Again, these just do driving directions better than your ipad.
and If I need to make a phone call, I will definately use my cellphone, than say, an ipad with a skype alternative.
This is an undeniable fact:
Single purpose dedicated devices are strictly better at doing what they were designed to do, and do it for far less cost, than a one multirole all-purpose device which does lots of things but nothing exceptionally well. It will always be that way.
