How civil is ATOT compared to other forums?

This place is beyond tame really.

Most that get bent out of shape here wouldn't last 2 second on other forums before running to a mod and being laughed at by them.

ATOT is very civil, more civil than other boards i have frequented.
P&N is a succubus and more uncivil than other boards i have frequented.

Each sub section of this forum has its own atmosphere.

You cant look at the forum as a whole.

In social i tend to be more relaxed and less aggitated. I will take a lot of abuse from people b4 i snap.

However if its a techinical question regarding watercooling or Overclocking, my mood is changed from friendly bistander, to active teacher.

I find ATOT to be a bit more anal/uptight (I think that's the word I'm looking for...) than most forums that I've visited. People tend to take posts way too seriously and the responses are typically with a negative flare including derisions on the original poster. Typically these hate posts tend to be based on a little portion of the original post or taken out of context as well. I feel like I'm going to the gun show with all this e-muscle flexing that goes on.

ATC is the most civil forum ever. Offtopic is pretty good. P&N is bad, but jeez there are some awful places out there. Not including 4chan, which is sort of like internet hell

The technical forums are amongst the most civil and genuinely communities I've ever visited, virtual or otherwise.
