How can the U.S. Government allow....

DHL to operate in this country? Apparently they have a few very small vans that are parked in distribution points around the country. They wait days for these vans to fill up, then they move your package around... and repeat. Eventually getting packages close to their destination.

I ordered something from newegg on the 27th of September. It shipped from memphis and I was excited because UPS will get it to me overnight. Even if it came from California with ground shipping, I would get it in 3-4 days. Then I saw it went via DHL. Memphis is 212 miles from me. My package took a day to travel to St. Louis, MO. Then it sat waiting for the van to fill up. It did and the van finally left for Hebron, Ky 2 days after getting to St. Louis.

Thankfully, I ordered another small package on the 30th from Newegg. It has caught up to the original package in Hebron. this means the van is likely getting full. Soon it will make it's way to Nashville.

EDIT: My second package made it to nashville this weekend. Apparently my first package which I need the most fell out of the van onto the interstate when the driver stopped to get his cellphone. If anyone is in hebron, Ky could you look on the entrance ramp to see if my package is on the side of the road?

Pay for real shipping and stop using the free shit? If you are paying for real shipping change e-tailers.

I have it.

Did you order it shipped flat with a tire mark across the top? 🙂

I guess I did not read the fine print. I have used free shipping option before on newegg and it was UPS. Other retailers offer free shipping and typically it is UPS ground. somewhere newegg switched to DHL for light weight packages.

DHL has almost always been extremely shitty for me, except for one time. I ordered something off of amazon.co.jp, with the cheapest, slowest shipping, and it took 2 days to get to me in bumfuck Kansas. Very surprising.

This is what you get with free shipping. I've ordered things with Amazon's super saver shaping, it shipped (UPS) relatively quickly, but then it sat at my local distribution center for a week, because thats when the promise date was. Its not a Newegg or DHL thing, its a free thing.

here i thought this was going to be something along the lines of 'DHL is owned by the German Post Office. What is the German Post Office doing delivering packages in the US?'

DHL is by far the worstest shipping company ever with possibly an exception for freight.

It's amazing they are still in the parcel business.

Why does the government need to do something? It's not like they're committing fraud. Their method is what allows them to be the cheap shipping option. If you want something in a timely manner then pay for something better.

The last several things I ordered from Newegg that used DHL were hilarious. I live in Idaho, and the stuff I order usually ships from California. DHL hauls it to Tennesee, then puts in USPS from there. If they just shipped it USPS in the first place it would get to me at least 4 days sooner. Never could see what the idea was.

Why would the government have anything to do with it?

Because idiots in the modern, ever growing liberal, society think the government should step in and intervene on every little thing. Why should people use their fvcking brain and think for themselves? The government should think for everyone.

I had a similar experience. I ordered some stuff from Hong Kong, shipped standard postal service. It was in my mailbox in 3-4 days.

I forget how much shipping was, but I got 100 LEDs for $10 shipped.

Oh yea, stuff shipping from Hong Kong is totally the same thing.

If you lived on the coast of mainland china maybe.

Your experience is the exact opposite, perhaps you need to look up the word "similar"
