I wouldn't recommend upright rows for everyone, they can damage shoulders in some people.

whoops. sorry. i just checked the stronglifts site and i had it wrong. here is the correct info:

Here's how StrongLifts 5x5 will work for you: three times per week, you will go to the gym and do 3 full body exercises for sets of 5 reps. The first 4 weeks, you will lift lighter weights so you can focus on mastering and perfecting technique, and prepare your body for heavy weights. You won't have to remember complicate routines... in fact, you'll always alternate between the same 2 workouts...

StrongLifts 5x5 Workout A
Squat 5x5
Bench Press 5x5
Barbell Rows 5x5

StrongLifts 5x5 Workout B
Squat 5x5
Overhead Press 5x5
Deadlift 1x5

i didn't read the rest but i think you take a day off in between the workouts. otherwise, my other info is correct.

I'll take a look into it. Right now I go to the gym 3x a week.

Maybe I can alternate days - 1 day treadmill - 1 day light - medium weights - back to treadmill - back to weights?

It wasn't as embarrassing as I thought. No one looked like they cared, just like you guys said.

I am really enthusiastic about this, even if it doesn't show. It's probably why I am doing things so wrong. I *really* wish I had someone to work out with.
