Aww cute, a pimple warrior asking how to make a quick $2000, calling me a kid.

Anyone out of highschool, wouldn't make a post asking such a dumb childish question.
Go look at any post similar to this and you will see who originates them.
15 year old kids who's allowance can't cut it to upgrade the brand new dell their parents bought them.
Do I detect a bit of senility? As I said, I can't take you seriously. I've seen more well thought out criticism in my day. Don't waste my time.

I need $7,000 to buy a diamond ring for my fiance. I think my cause is much more worthwhile than nail's attempt at buying an overpriced computer. It's a computer for the love of god! And I'm not ashamed at stealing his thread! So if you guys feel generous enough you could donate some money to me because I really, really need to get this diamond ring for her. Any amount will be appreciated and this is not a joke.

"Sell yourself to 20 fat chicks for $100 each...or 2 REALLY fat chicks for $1000 each...what? Fat chicks need loving too...but they got to pay."
-Quagmire on Family Guy, if you don't know

Uh, other than that, there are very few legal ways that will usually work to make you a lot of money quickly. Gambling would work, but you might lose even more...it's iffy (that's why they call it gambling).

By the way, anyone notice how some random jerkoff gets reamed for his stupid post, and a new member is congratulated for NOT being a dumbass? See, it's all in how you present yourself to the forum ;)

Get a job. And what kind of computer does the average home user need that costs $2000? I'm happy with my $700 computer (and quickly going down in value).

I havn't taken my meds since last thursday.

But get real, asking on a geek forum how to make a quick $2k.
Either you're that dumb, or just another member making up a alternate screenname just to troll.

It's fun either way you cut it I guess.

I suggest you rob a bank, so then the cops can beat you down, and hopefully remove your dumb ass from the gene pool.

Then, ill give you a grand.

Well, I can spell "definitely" and need no intellectual evaluation from the likes of you, truly.
So the only retort you can come up with is to criticize my spelling?

My first statement definATLY holds true.

Rule of thumb: If you plan on insulting someones intelligence, make sure you have no grammar/spelling mistakes.

Quick way to make $2k? Do you consider 2yrs quick? If I put in $4k over 2yr term into RSP, my employer will put in 50% of what I put in and be able to take it out after 2yrs. Now that's a sure way.

Gambling is another way. With great risks comes possibility of great rewards/losses. I've seen a guy lose $800 over a few hands of blackjack in a matter of minutes. The game is to win them with their own money, not yours.

With a question like this, you just can't people to take you seriously. ESPECIALLY on atot, lol. :)

Not necessarily. There are a number of things that simply aren't easy to do or that you can only do once in a while.

I was hoping to get more than trolls. Wrong forum.

With a question like yours, you'd have to be an ignant knob not to expect trolls...

Ah, don't take what Sampson says too seriously.

At times he can seem blunt, or rude, or maybe just an asshole.

BUT.. He is definitely honest.

(Unlike Fermium).

yea, and when a guy named cheaparse won't give you advice on a financial thread, then you know you're either a) being an ass or b) screwed. In you're case, most likely the latter[sp? meh].

hrmm.. to think of it, this really isn't a financial thread anyway.

The last couple years in the Stock Market have been great for me. My biggest gainer was ATI Technologies, which I purchased in 2003 for a little over $6/share CDN. I had a 1000 shares of ATI which trippled in value in a little over a year. I sold at just under $18 a share for a capital gain of roughly $12k. That's just one stock. I also bought and sold Nortel Networks stock a few times during 2003 and early 2004 and made some nice gains as well. Right now, I'm about 70% invested in the markets. I wouldn't recommend "playing" the market unless you know what you're doing. I've been doing it for a few years now with very good returns.
