Oh yeah, if your tap water sucks (like mine) you can buy water by the gallon or 2.5 gallons for really cheap. And it's still cheaper than any other drink you'd buy.

Well then stop eating. Don't eat for a year.
Stop posting for a year.
Since when does exercise cost money? Walking, running, pushups, situps...
Food and laundry cost money. If I'm buying food only to deliberately burn calories, then I am literally paying to run.
You're wasting cash if you're fat anyway, since you're eating calories that you don't really need.
I specifically requested diet suggestions.
I don't care.

Either you're stupid, or this is a parody thread.

Look. If you're overweight, it is because you are eating more calories than you are burning.

There are 2 ways to lose weight. You can either decrease your caloric intake, or increase your average metabolism.

However, only one way is healthy. There is much more to food than calories. You can't simply stop eating, expect to lose weight and remain healthy. It just doesen't work like that.

So unless I eat exactly the amount and content that I am now, I will be unhealthy? Obviously, I don't require as much as I am eating.

dont eat? I was so poor the past year of college that I could barely afford to eat one meal a day and over the whole year I loat almost 30 pounds. Not the most healthy idea but it worked for me.

No no no.. WTF?

If you insist on losing weight without exercise and you want to remain somewhat healthy, the only way is to reduce your caloric intake but increase the nutritional density of the foods you're eating.

Foods are more than calories. If calories were all we required, we would just eat flavored lard for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Oh, wait.

This man speaks the truth.

if you don't want to exercise, then you're going to have to cook..

I've been using fitday.com to help me keep track of what I'm consuming and what I'm burning, calorie-wise.. you can track your activity too, so.. some days I'm active and some days I'm not.. and have pretty much completely tossed out everything I used to cook.. and what I used to eat. you have to eat all day, skipping meals is not going to help you longterm.. and you have to eat enough, being hungry is not going to help you long term.. and you have to eat good tasty food that satisfies your hunger and your nutritional requirments and accomodates the things you crave.. and if you're going to have a bad meal just call that a bad calorie day, don't try to make it fit by giving up other meals.

less fat, less sugar, more vegetables and whole grains. one of the calculators I found recently said to take your target weight and multiply it by 13 if you're inactive, and that should be your calorie target to lose weight at a healthy rate.. .5 to 2.0 lbs/week. but you can't want to be 160 lbs and drink 2080 calories of beer.. there has to be good food in there.

Beer and soda costs money. Stop drinking them and eat no more than needed to sustain basal metabolism.

Water is cheap. Drink it.

just how fat are you?

do:

eat lean meats, rice, vegetables (especially green, leafy vegetables), pasta, unsaturated fats (nuts, olive oil, cod oil, etc.)

dont:

eat lots of sugar, eat saturated and trans fats (oreos, chips, crackers...anything that says "hydrogenated" or "partially hydrogenated" in the ingredients), eat breaded and fried foods, eat lots of salt

ok...you said you haven't had water in a long time, right? you need a colonoscopic, brother. they are painful, embaressing, intrusive and downright brutal. i really, really hate to recommend one but it's going to help a lot. as for the laundry thing? you can do 20 minutes of calisthenics in your underwear right before you change to a new pair. just lock your door and go to town.

if you need anything else, just ask.
