After reading the thread, I'd suggest installing dd-wrt on your home router (assuming you have one). You can setup access times for the internet, block his Mac from accessing the internet permanently, bandwidth controls, blocking ports, you name it. When you set this up, make sure it is out of his reach and the username/password are very strong. You pay for the internet so you make the rules.

However, hacking his apple computer/wow account is not the way to go here.

This guy actually needs help it sounds like. He needs to be shown something different.. he needs to see a bit of real life.. he wont leave WOW unless something better comes along.

Take him to a car dealership with some badass cars.. let him see some cars that he would die to have.. Then remind him how a WOW account isn't ever going to buy him one of these. But you can't stop here.. you gotta keep on him.. Get him interested in life. Maybe make the next stop as a college drive-by.. You can bring up the school you are driving by. Ask him if he has ever been interested in taking any classes... The two things will probably connect..

But keep on him.. keep pestering him.. don't go too far.. but keep it in his mind. He will probably slowly crawl out of his current state. Just gotta give him something to want.

Doubt this would work....

It's a better idea then hacking his account though.

If a guy is on a public forum asking how to hack a computer, then they don't have the skill to be able to hack a computer anyways. Hacking isn't as simple as "download hacker.exe, install, say 'hack son's computer', and you're able to do whatever".

Thanks.
I was reading this thinking "Why are you wanting to hack someones nic and what does that have to do with a wow account."
