Hello everyone!

As you may notice, this is my first post here at Anandtech forums (under this nickname).

I live in Israel, and would like to immigrate to US in the near future.
I'm a well-aducated person, and have used to work at Microsoft's R&D center in Israel.

I have already been to America once, and loved it!
I came back because I was forced to become a soldier in the IDF.
Israel socks, I have no roots here, and would like to leave it instantly!

What do I need to do in order to become an American citizen?

P.S. My VISA expired a few months ago, but I'm sure I'll be granted with a new one.

God bless America!

Don't come into the country legally....that's just too boring. You should try to smuggle yourself into the country and pretend to be a seat in a van or something.

More than one account per user is not permitted here.

Why'd you make a new one?

In all honestly, your chances of immigrating into the US sometime soon are probably equal to the chances of you stopping all fighting in the middle east.

(not that I agree with that)

i thought it was, as long as you don't pretend to be someone else...

You do know that using multiple nics on ATOT is now grounds for Immigration Disqualification, right?
When the AT Moderators BAN you, they also can select the "deport" option...

LOL very true, how about going down to the airport, and grabbing on to the wings, or wheels of a small plane and just riding in. Now that's not Coach, but it will do the trick...

No one here probably remembers, but there was a man from Mexico that somehow wrapped himself into a seat and tried to be part of a van to sneak into the U.S.... He got caught and they took pictures of him. They were floating around the internet. It was pretty funny...I just couldn't find a link to the picture. Someone else might be able to find it. ;)

Good luck on making it over here. I agree, the U.S. is a great place. I'm sure you'll have no problems finding work once you get here. :)

Aren't you thinking of the guy who was behind the dashboard of a suburban... he would've got through, but when the US immigration official asked for papers, someone handed them out of the glove box.

I know that most israelis get denied a green card. So many of them go to canada, live there for 5 years, gain citizenship...then immigrate to the US. its really easy to immigrate from Canada...no giant fence to jump or any border patrols.

Thanks for the tip!

I've been to Canada as well, and it rocks!
