Sociology. Seriously, what a load of crap. I hate this class, but need to take it to meet an elective requirement. Nothing like a fifth year senior sitting in a class of 400-500 freshman.

Even worse, try taking the class with a feminazi teacher that docks you points for user the word "Mankind" in a paper because it's sexist.

You want sexist? Take the broom out of your ass and put it to work sweeping the floors like a woman should be doing. Oh and fetch me a beer while you're at it.

Now THAT'S sexist.

Bring raisinettes to class and sit in the back. Warm them up till they're nice and gooey and then flick them at the kiddies.

If someone complains, tell them you doing a socialogical study for extra credit.

Making sh!t would be a pretty damn neat job.

Sociology is just as much BS as most liberal arts majors are, you need a masters to do anything significant.

Mine was a socialist, guess I'm lucky I think 80% of all sociology teachers are communists, 19.5% are socialists and the remaining .5% are in the wrong class or substituting.

I wrote my final paper on why Soviet Communism was doomed to failure and surprisingly enough she did not flunk me

Something better than what I am getting. Why the hell do I have to take such a course? In no way, will I ever use this crap nor does it have any effect on my degree.

To be traditionally "well rounded".

Well rounded in what? Sleeping while the professors plays old episodes of dateline that I have already seen?

My sociology professor is awesome.. but the two sociology classes I've taken were only with that one professor.

My major was Organizational Studies, which is 50% sociology, 25% economics, and 25% communications.

I enjoyed it actually, because most of my classes had competent professors and students who made discussions very interesting.

BTW, I am doing quiet well financially :D

My wife is taking a sociology class and she can't believe what she is having to read. The book is a liberal's wet dream.
She is fairly moderate, but she is totally offended that this book is being offered as a supposedly objective academic book.
Right now she's reading the chapter that is all about how the U.S. is a society where people are born into a certain socio-economic class and have no opportunity to ever move above that class. OMG, it makes me sick that this is what they are teaching college students. If that was the case, there would be no reason for any of these people to even be in college. And the professor is constantly making derogatory remarks about conservative people in the media and in government. Even if I was a liberal, I would be offended at this kind of blatant bias taking place in an institution that is supported by tax dollars. And we are in a fairly conservative city.
