Face facts, the $29.95 charge for phone support?even though it says prominently that the "fee may be waived if support representative determines that the issue was caused by the product"?is a big fat "not welcome" mat at Symantec's door. I'm sure lots of people are discouraged from seeking support. Certainly a lot of readers in the blog feedback complained about this issue.

Dump 'em. Norton antivirus is a bloated turd anyway. You shouldn't have to pay $30 for phone support on a product you pay a subscription on every year.

Yeah I had problems with all the Norton Internet Security products I bought (2003, 2004 and 2005). Thanks God, each time I only had to pay half the price. I know someone working in a local PC store, and can get me a few items for half the price.

Just do like me, get Panda Titanium 2005, or maybe McAfee Suite 2005. I got my Panda Titanium for $25 Canadian, OEM.

..I may give avg a try. I've been using norton for years but fail to understand their customer no service of the most recent management regime.
