I just got my first PC, so my first hard drive would be a 250GB.
:)

In the first Mac that was mine in the household, my first was a 30GB, though.

With my family's first computer, we had a 40 meg external drive for the Mac SE. Then, I got an IBM 6.4 gigabyte drive in a Pentium 233. Now, I have a WD 250 gig drive.

The earliest one that was 'mine' was a 20MB external SCSI drive for a Mac Classic. That thing was *loud*, too.

I *think* maybe the IBM AT my dad owned had a 4MB hard drive. Not sure, though; it could have been bigger.

640MB in my whitebox P-75, with 8MB of RAM.

We later added a 1 GB drive and upgraded to 40MB of RAM.

Then in 1998 we got our whitebox PII-350 with 64MB of RAM, and an 8GB hard drive, which I added a GeForce2 MX, and another 64MB RAM.

Then in 2002 we got our Dell, P4-1.8 (Before Northwood...whatever the core was called.) With a 40GB hard drive and 256MB of RAM and a GeForce3 Ti200, on which we added another 256MB. My family still uses that today, hard to believe it's nearing 4 years old!

A 5 MB drive that I bought from a friend. He had actually partitioned it into 2 x 2.5 MB since he thought that 5 MB was just too much space.

My first comp was a Tandy 386SX with clockspeed settings of 20mhz and 8mhz?? IIRC. The HD was a huge 85MB!! 1MB of ram that was upgraded to 3MB of ram. Expensive stuff too! But I had some good times with it as far as I remember.

My first was a 40 MB hard drive. I remember when I installed the Stacker software on it and I got ~80MB of space--that was HUGE!!

10GB Quantum Fireball in a Gateway G6-350. I thought back then I would never fill that thing up. Now when I have 10GB left i need to go get a new HD lol. I have about 310GB of HD space right now over 3 drives.

The first HD I ever used was 10 MB (I think) running in a Mac SE.

The first HD I actually purchased was a 2 GB one for my PowerMac.

The first PC HD I purchased was a 13 GB Seagate. I have that one still sitting in a drawer.
