Well my dad was also a heavy smoker. It was diagnosed in May 2011, received 6 cycles of chemotherapy and the lobotomy surgery was on 6-th of September 2011. A month and a half he was released from the hospital and has been recovering from then.
There were few examinations after that and so far there are no signs of the cancer returning... No that i know of at least.
He has some trouble breathing sometimes and has a lack of stamina. Also he lost feeling in his left hand fingers. The smallest finger is almost dead with no feeling at all. And also he has a muscle shrinking on his left palm.
Since we live together this was my hardest year so far. I have to work double jobs to keep up with $ demand. My daughter grew up and i missed lots of it. And i am hoping that this spring will bring good news and that he will get in shape and return to work and i can continue with my normal plans.
