I guess it's not bad for me:

$1000 annual contribution to HSA (family)
$250 annual incentive if complete physical and health incentives deposited to HSA
100% 401K matching up to 5%, + free $250
For me 3 weeks vacation + standard bank holidays
2 float days (days off that you can use for whatever)
Not entirely sure how many sick days, but I think at least 200 hours, there are really no cap. There's also a sick days pool that you can donate to, or borrow from.
15% discount off company stock through ESPP
Up to 15% annual bonus
Discount on trading fees
Free financial consulting
Other miscellaneous things like continuing education allowance, etc...

Pension match 100% up to 6%, company shares match 40% up to 6%, yearly bonus (usually around 8-12% of a year's salary), yearly COL, yearly performance based increases (much bigger than COL increases), significant discounts for cell, phone, internet, TV. $500/year into an account you can withdraw or deposit into rrsp. Full decent medical/dental benefits at little to no cost (depends on plan), and probably a bunch of other things I'm forgetting. Can't really complain too much.

What the hell is the difference between PTO, vacation and holiday? Surely they're all the same damned thing.

"Oh I get 2 weeks PTO and 2 weeks holiday"
"I get 3 weeks holiday and 1 week vacation".

What? That's just 4 weeks of generic leave surely?

PTO just rolls everything together as time off for whatever reason. Sick, vacation etc.

I dont get PTO i get vacation and sick days and i cant take sick days as vacation days. Well, not supposed to :p

- 3 weeks vacation (4 weeks after 10 years of service, 5 at 15, up to 8 at 30 years - yes some guys have it)
- 2 weeks sick/personal time (appointments, random shit) - this goes up 1 week for every year worked.
- 401k match up to 4%
- stock options, 15% discounted rate
- annual raise & bonus (last year was 17-30% bonuses, ~3-5% raise)
- 2 floating holidays
- 16 observed holidays
- health, life, dental, vision benefits
- HSA if desired
- licensing/education classes & reference material paid for 100%

No guaranteed vacation but I manage to take ~3 weeks a year
3% 401k match (pretty much unheard of in law firms)
Short and long term disability coverage
Awful health plan options - family plans cost over $1400 a month
Work from home 3+ days a week.
Pretty generous bonus plan - 5k for reaching 85% of billed target. 10k for reaching 90%, 15k for 95%, and 25k for reaching 100%. Above 100% - bonus is 60% of billings.
Better than average compensation for a firm of its size.
Annual licensing and continuing legal education fees are paid by the firm
Firm cell phone.

Sick days.. uhh I have 105 sick days in the bank right now, but who actually uses them? I've taken two or three in the last 5 years.
Pension contribution at 7.5% salary until I make the YMPE in a year (which is ~52,000 this yr), then 9% after that

Excellent extended health and dental coverage for family
Cell phone, laptop

They also paid for my Masters years ago, and let me work full time while doing it.

Four weeks PTO plus some company holidays, 401k is 100% match up to 6% with instant vest :) and yes I gauarantee there are still people who don't contribute.

5 weeks PTO going up to 6 weeks in September this year
fully paid for health insurance
dental is ok
company puts 5% of salary into 401k
only 6 paid holidays a year but all that PTO adds up and makes up for it

Pretty decent:
96hrs of vacation, 8 days as we work 12s. (with our schedule you can take 2 days and be off for a week.) About half that in sick time. No cost health care with pretty decent coverage. 5% paid into 401k. No match needed they just pay into it. And a pension after 30 years. (pension paid through the state) They pay healthcare until your 62. Also pay a supplement that will match your social security until you are of age to receive that.

Only real downside is healthcare if you need family coverage as it's outrageous.

My companies benefits are a lot worse than advertised, that is for sure. Just learned from a coworker who went through some stuff that "unlimited" sick days really means 5 days and then it eats your vacation days and after that, it is just unpaid time off.
