How are you guys able to post even though my computer is shut off?

I'll go shut my computer off before I go to bed and I wake up and there are new posts but my computer was not on.

When you switch off your PC, the
Magnetic
Automatic
Yaw adjusted
Neutralizing
Electron-Proton-Neutron
(Or M.A.Y.N.E. for short)
stops inhibiting the TROLLS.

So the posts, are caused by TROLLS.

Blame the M.A.Y.N.E. system, if it bothers you.

Becuse it's not your computer that matters.

I know he's joking but.....

After working helpdesk/tech support for a few years you would be surprised what type of questions people ask seriously....

What's the history behind this.

Honestly I've retired from gaming after the Radeon 4870s and not following this anymore?

I'm not sure.

But I think, usually there are flame wars, between the AMD and Nvidia camps. Much like the online flame wars, between the Intel and AMD camps, in cpu and overclocking.

Back then what post was written, AMD cards could do one thing consistently better than NVidia cards. That was mining cryptocoins. It wasn't even a fair fight, as the AMD cards could crunch the crypto calculations twice as fast as a comparible NVidia card.

So, the cryptocoin fanboys seemed to get annoyed whenever someone bought an NVidia card, because they weren't good at this ONE thing they were obsessed with but most people didn't care about.

Since then, they've made cryptocoin mining software that works decently well on Nvidia cards as well. Not that it really matters, since you need specialized mining hardware to do it profitably now.

WoW, got an education based on your post. Didn't know anything about cryptocoin mining until I googled it a few times.

Saw a few funny pictures of people with huge room setups of 20 AMD video cards!!!

Then read you need to spend around 3 to 4K to get a return of $50 or so a day.
