If nothing else, GWB will get a sneak peak at what people think about him during the political debates during the general election run up to 11/4. Its pretty easy to predict that the dems will demonize the record of GWB, and the likely GOP nominee, McCain has no reason to run on the GWB record. And in fact has a better chance in the general election if he
can start calling the shots for the GOP while GWB has to sit by, hobbled by lameduck syndrome, and unable to do anything but listen to everyone lambaste him.

Of course GWB may later return in triumph to Washington, charged with various crimes and in total disgrace. At best, he will be like Nixon, a sad figure no one wants to associate with in public.

I'm not apologizing for the votes. I don't regret them.

Given that we'd have been stuck with Gore or Kerry, it was a pretty easy choice.

you STILL think Kerry would of done a worst job then Bush?

I will probably feel exactly as I do today. When his replacement proves to me that all that is wrong in the world (and is blamed on Bush) is definitely his fault then perhaps I will form an opinion.

While I voted for Bush, I think he is a War-Monger, and I will be glad to get anyone in the whithouse who will at least be open and straightforward with the American People.

The best thing a president can do is to not be so secretive that no one knows what is going on. At least Pelosi says what she plans on trying to do. I may not agree with her on almost anything, but she telegraphs what she is doing and you know what you get. Her approach is nowhere near anything with Tact or Common Sense, but you can tell what she wants.

The worst part is the two extremes between the Democrats and the Republicans is just too far apart. We either get an ultra liberal airhead or a conservative warmonger. At this point, I think the ultra liberal would have increased the budget less and we would have been better off. I think what would be best for America is to outlaw party affiliation. It is sometimes good for politicians, but it is not good for the people. It just polarizes people.

I am good and the other guy is evil. (Insert your favorite person as good and evil)

Someone wrote the new boss, the same as the old boss. I saw a difference in tone and order of priorities between Nixon and Carter, Carter and Reagan, Reagan and Clinton, and Clinton and GW Bush.

So I have to wonder why anyone would think that Mr Obama or Ms Clinton would run the government as Mr Bush has so far.

uh...any politician responsible for anything is not transparent....

I also disagree about your comment about the widening gap between Dems and GOP...it is certainly alot closer than it was 20 years ago. If anything the line between them is wide and grey.
