Yup, working like a champ.

Look, it's a proper GOP administration. IF they aren't deficit-spending, then they aren't doing their jobs. Blaming everyone but themselves comes later, after all the looting.

You know that's not really good news considering its the continuance of the previous eight years. I'm more worried bout the soul of our country other than few more people becoming billionaires.

Good news would be Trump resigning and going to jail soon. So thank you NY times. BTW you should subscribe to and help support publications with real investigating journalism not just blowing out WH talking points.

It was impossible for the Birthers to make their claims stick, however since we have a vast amount of documentation, I suggest that "Right" nor "Left" have any applicability as far as facts go. Trump is Trump and what that really means isn't great for him and his home team regardless of what you think of posters. Trump's life and the resulting documentation is what's damning, not party or ideology.

I mean I get that people who are partisan will milk this for all it's worth, but the facts don't come down on the favor of Trump supporters. As the facts have been exposed and are now being investigated and that something akin to a miracle from God doesn't happen, then what are Trump supporters going to offer in defense? Hillary?

Trump is really crushing it lately. We are lucky to have dodged the bullet and elected him over the Democrats.

I DON'T CARE ABOUT GROWTH

I care about the planets sustainability, my country and the well being of its citizens. I would be fine with anything above zero.

Yeah, look at Trump crushing that wage growth, haha.

This doesn't include the most recent quarter's 0.4% growth but that would just continue the trend of Trump presiding over very poor wage growth.

Looks like it is on a good trend. Pretty impressive given the trade war.

I just found out I'm getting a raise out of the blue too. ;)

You don't need luck to borrow a bunch money to make yourself temporarily feel good. It's called a credit card.

Keeping more of the money I earn through working is a credit.

He's borrowing $3K per year on behalf of every man woman and child in the US. I guess you think it's free money? That picture looks like an orange Bill Clinton, BTW.

This is misleading as it is talking about nominal wage growth, not real wage growth. Considering inflation is somewhere around 2.7% the actual wage increase would be 0.4%, which is not good.

Some real wage growth is of course better than none, but we should be clear eyed about what it actually means.

Shh... don't interject facts into a one man circle jerk:

Real Wage Growth Is Actually Falling

The U.S. economy is at “full employment,” says the official 3.9% unemployment rate.

The problem is that fully employed people haven’t seen enough wage growth. It’s a puzzle. Wages used to rise faster when unemployment was this low.

That’s why there was much celebration when the August jobs report showed a 2.8% annual increase in average hourly earnings for “Production and Nonsupervisory Employees,” i.e., regular workers.

The media reported it was the fastest wage growth since 2009.

That was correct in a narrow, technical sense. But not in real life.

Real Wages Are Flat

Aside from employment data, the Bureau of Labor Statistics also compiles the Consumer Price Index (CPI), our primary inflation gauge.

In the same period in which average hourly earnings rose 2.8%, the CPI rose 2.7%. That’s how much the cost of living went up, on average.

As everyone knows, no one's little raises are keeping up with inflation. In addition those stupid enough to think that extra couple bucks in their paycheck isn't going to get a margin call next year during tax time when it's due... Better have changed those exemptions dummies... "Tax Cut" indeed...

with the increasing debt from the tax cut it's only a matter of time before it all comes crashing down like it did in '08, only worse. then trump will really be crushing it.

Under Obama the national debt doubledt, it increased about 10 trillion dollars over his eight years. That's not good, but the economy did not crash.

This whole thread is just an example of how partisans put party before America. Good news for America? Spread FUD and downplay it to make the guy in office who isn't part of your "team" look bad. Pathetic.
