What does a spy have to do with a campaign working with foreign nationals and elected leaders enacting quid pro quo transactions with the Russian government in order to secure favorable business dealings with entities the elected leader owns?

Any and all foreign influence should be a concern to everyone. I’m not sure why it’s suddenly a concern for you only now.

I wasnt aware of an accusation Trump had a Russian spy in his midst.

As Ive said in previous threads, specifically the NYAG preparing charges when he leaves, if the proof supports the crime, Im all for it.

So yes. The problem is Trump is so hated there were just as many conspiracy theories about him as there are facts.

Sure, it’s absolutely something we should be concerned about and investigate. I’m very confident conservatives don’t though.

After all you had Trump’s son publicly confess to colluding with the Russian government to get illegal election help and conservatives didn’t care.

My OP doesnt contain the word Democrat. Only the reports I linked. Havent seen any reports of Chinese spies embedded with Republicans yet.

A spy was able to get close to people who didn't know they were a spy.
They didn't know they were a spy because the spy was a spy.
Spies can only be spies if no one knows that they are spies.

You are very concerned about people being close to spies
- People should automatically recognize spies due to their name tags

I think the most high profile politician caught up with this spy was Swallwell. When the FBI alerted Swallwellthat she was a spy, did he:

A) Hire her to be his campaigns National Security Adviser?

B) Attack the FBI for launching a “witch hunt” investigation?

C) Declassify information related to the investigation, revealing sources and methods?

No, he didn’t pull a Trump. He broke off all contact and got rid of the intern she hired.

Yes it's a problem. Yes it applies to both parties. Yes it's unhealthy and dangerous to have foreign nationals involved in domestic politics. Yes the Chinese government is at odds with our country and has committed uncounted crimes against our nation and our national interest. Anyone disagreeing with those basic statements is doing so for their own reasons and they are not in the interests of the United States of America.

Should US Government Official(s)

1. Act on US Intelligence that warns them that they are being used for intelligence by foreign agents for foreign governments and immediately take all precautions to prevent any more intelligence gathering, while attempting to prosecute the foreign agent for any and all possible crimes

or

2. Deny US Intelligence that warns them, and go out of their way to defend the foreign agent, and pardon that foreign agent if prosecuted and penalized for crimes committed?

I know which option the current President of the US chose.
