Household defensive weapon of choice?

My personal choice is an Aluminum Louisville Slugger softball bat (in the closet right next to the front door) and a large hunting knife near my bed.

What is your weapon of choice?

I have 2 knives in my nightstand which I can always grab easily. Only reason I don't have a gun is because I haven't had the time to get one.

If she fails, i go to my backup.

SKS with 30 round clip and pump shotty.

If they rush past that...

Martial arts and katana / dagger set.
 
Aluminum baseball bats can do serious damage to un-wanted visitors (like moonie). Course something that shoots lead is your ultimate protection.

Locks on doors, lighting, dogs, red-heads, mag-lites.....first line defense only, useless when real trouble starts.
 
1st: Pump action shotgun w. 7 shell mag.
2nd: 9mm P90 pistol
3rd-8th: Jiu-Jitsu, 3 different forms of Karate, Tactical Krav-Maga + my Tanto/Mag-lite/...
9th: Above without the accessories
10th: My 1month old son, who will puke on the assailant.

I don't have a household defensive weapon of choice. But just a few minutes ago, when I was taking a knife from my room to cut some Monterey Jack cheese, I wondered what I would do if someone broke into my apartment. Would I st@b him? Would I feel guilty if I killed him? Obviously I wouldn't if it were self defense, but what if I killed him ninja style? Should I feel guilty if I murder a burglar?

Yes criminals fear you because you drive a Nissan. They approach your house but then they see the Nissan and are like, "Damn that guy is leet. It's even a freaking manual sedan. Better move on." We all know it's true. Unfortunately I live in an apartment so they won't know I drive a Nissan.

I also drive a nissan but just upon nearing the building they may catch site of it and run in ph34r.
