Household defensive weapon of choice?

My home defense is living in a decent neighborhood.

OK, not really, I guess I would chose...

Shotgun with non-lethal ammo...salt rock, or bean bags...

tazer is a good idea...people who say pepper spray does not work have either never been sprayed or are aliens....

Motion Detector hooked up to Central Station (and a loud-ass alarm system) when we're sleeping upstairs... otherwise... nothing. :frown:

I have no wife and kids so I'm not too worried about safety from intruders. I would use one of the heavy objects in my room though. A useful blunt object would be my aluminum case's bevel (Lian Li PC60). That thing will make someone bleed. I also have screwdrivers and stuff everywhere. Will an aluminum case door block a bullet or slow it down much?

mouse cord for strangling......closest weapon at hand 98.5% of the time
tried the keyboard once but cord was too short 🙁 I lost that battle

My Xbox. It's big enough to hold in front of me for body armor. It's heavy enough to be used as a blugeon, and you can swing the 4 pound controllers around and knock somebody unconscious with those too.

Foul language.

Just kidding, 9mm Glock. Tazer is an ok idea, better than nothing, but I wouldn't trust my life to a battery operated device that can be stopped by a thick leather coat.
