Worse, the supposed Biblically correct Ark bullshit adventure certainly isn’t correct, Biblically.

Everyone says “animals two-by-two”, yet fail to read further. There were 7 pairs of clean animals. Unclean animals, otoh, were just one pair.

But Ark adventure doesn’t mention the 14 clean animals; only give impression there were only two of every creature.

Genesis 7
1 The LORD then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.

2 Take with you seven of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and two of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate,

3 and also seven of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth.
No offense but you guys give way to much respect to a fairy tail.
It's bollocks. I don't know why you (not you you, a national you) don't all point and go "but that's bollocks" a lot more.

If the reading is to be consistent (and what reading of a religious text is ever consistent) that would indicate there were 7 pairs of clean animals and 2 pairs of unclean ones.

The new Republican speaker of the house is a RADICAL conserative Christian who believes that dinosaurs were on Noah's Ark.

Technically, birds are the only surviving lineage of dinosaurs, and there were to be 7 pairs of each kind on the ark.

Technically, we're all just surviving lineages of some single celled water doodad from a billion years ago, so what he brought was entirely redundant.

So on the whole ark thing ...

When they were loading up did they take a trip to Australia for a pair of kangaroos then nip up to the arctic for a couple of polar bears then over to South America for some sloths? Then dropped them all off at the end? That's quite the road trip!

God magically transported all the animals there

The good news is terrestrial plant life was not impacted by being submerged for a long period because well reasons.

IMO, the House is almost certain to pass a continuing resolution to fund the government through early next year. The Freedom Caucus will let Johnson do this because he’s their guy and he has the excuse that the House pissed around for three weeks making it impossible to get the budget done by the mid-November deadline.

Longer term, he’ll try to shepherd the remaining appropriations bills through the House. They’ll pass on partisan lines and be filled with all kinds of kooky wacky ass conservative bullshit – slashing funding, conservative policy riders, etc. The Senate will pass their own version of each bill that does not include these provisions, and Johnson will have to negotiate with Chuck Schumer and Biden over what kind of agreement can be reached.

This is where he will be tested. How much leeway will the Freedom Caucus gives him to compromise? They had a special kind of hatred for Kevin McCarthy, will they be more willing to accept a deal that accomplishes some (but not all) of their goals if it comes from Johnson? And if not, is Johnson willing to push it to a vote if the majority of House Republicans support it (i.e. Hastert rule), but it will still take Democratic votes to pass.

Why would you think I need that. I like Maher when he goes after Republicans. I also like him when he goes after irrational authoritarian liberals but in my opinion is sometimes way off base.

Wasn't there another Republican rep who had an "adopted" son that was mysteriously absent from everything recently?

Ok just so I am on the same page as everyone else, what's the implicit thing that "adopted son" is covering for?

Gay lover?
Live in slave?
Wife's boy toy?

I just want to make sure I'm in on the ;)

pretty sure that was Gaetz and the ~22 year old Cuban "son" that he adopted.

Define 'family'.

Two people? Four people? Fifty? Five hundred? A whole community? The Chosen Ones?

That was for Fox not you.

Personally I don’t like him bashing woke because he uses the right wing bastardized version. It completely misses the point.
