I like House, but I agree that it's way too formulaic. It's getting to the point where it seem that all of the characters simply serve as targets and launching pads for House.
5 minutes in: someone gets crazy sick
10 minutes in: someone has to convince House that it's an interesting case
15 minutes in: House takes case; person arrives and House determines that it's really just a basic case with simple diagnosis
20 minutes in: person is about to be discharged and then their head/heart/genitals spontaneously explode/ooze/swell/shrink/etc.
21 minutes in: House decides he was wrong
22 - 45 minutes in: person is violated physically and mentally as House ignores every law and ethical standard established in medicine while trying to correctly diagnose person
50 minutes in: House is picking out toejam and has an epiphany
60 minutes in: person is cured, goes home, and House reflects on a seemingly valuable lesson that he learned about human life
YOu forgot some important things ... namely
They blame it on cancer and call in wilson, hilarity insues as wilson and house interact or Cameron blames it on lupus, which it never is. Foreman mentions drugs, house makes a slightly racist drug reference. Chase has some sort of god/father issue.
I dont care if they seem to follow a trend... there are always a few zingers and awesome twists. The interactions between the cast are amazing. The show is freaking hilarious. Wilson is the man.
****** ... i forgot the most important thing you left out... house has to accuse everyone of lieing ... because everyone lies... Then at the end ... you find out they lied.
