Your lie about what the founders wanted to do with the west is refuted. Just because it didn't include the Louisiana purchase doesn't mean the Constitution didn't cover future expansion.

I said you can't know, links to opinionated Tenther sites being immaterial wrt actual knowledge.

Kinda-sorta. Most cattle are born & raised on open grasslands then rounded up, sold & shipped to feedlots as you picture for fattening up prior to slaughter.
Open grasslands in the humid midwest or on irrigated pasture lands in the west for the most part. Dry land public lands ranching contributes very little to the overall beef supply. The forage just isn't there to support large herds.

Utah Congressman Withdraws Bill That Would Have Sold 3.3 Million Acres of Public Land, Cites Sportsmen’s Blowback

....sportsmen and hikers climbers bikers etc blowback. Patagonia and other outfitters pulled out of a huge Outdoor Retailer Convention held in Utah every year. Sort of a CES for outdoor folks.

Good news! but it's not over.

Gotta love it when they run something like this up the flagpole only to have to pull it down, shot to tatters.
