House is pretty addicting.

Saga

It would be so much easier to immerse in if they didn't do retarded things such as breaking int patients homes every few episodes and rifling through their things to determine illnesses. =/

Why can't there be something in-between the forced humor of scrubs and the forced super-drama of House?

Of course, with any luck it'll be a Hollywood movie soon enough.

Is there ever an episode where the patient DOESN'T have a seizure halfway through the episode? Or where "zomg it's LUPUS" (or better yet, vasculitis)?

Still, it's entertaining, if not only for the scenes with House being an obnoxious coot. When that's not happening, though, it makes me want to fast forward furiously.

Just ONCE, I'd love to see them get the diagnosis right on the first try just to screw with the audience. By now, I think that everyone knows that all of diagnoses during the first 45 minutes of the show don't stand a chance of being correct.... If they were, what would they do during the rest of the show? Show Cutty stripping again?

I just think it would be hilarious if the entire team got investigated for numerous cases of breaking and entering then they all went to jail.

They could even add a twist, say something along the lines of saving someone in the brig using cigarettes and smuggled bubble gum. McGuyver that shit up.

Sure, "Three Stories" from the first season. Still probably the best episode ever.

Try grays anatomy, you foolish clown.

yep. In the Real world, that shit-hole hospital would be under review for several decades. ridiculous what goes on in that show.

of course, complaining about lack of realism in TV is like complaining about ice cream being too sweet. You don't watch TV to see the same shit you deal with throughout the day. you watch it to escape.

they did. The patient didn't bother to take his meds and he eventually died. His dog died too.

The point is there isn't a doctor like House anyway because everything he does is morally wrong (at least we hope, right?). So breaking and entering is well within the scope of the show 🙂.

It is indeed addicting, my mother and I just watched all the episodes that were on USA tonight. We had a nice long discussion about why those two guys always get the 'investigative' side of things. They get to break into the homes and get to act like they are part of CSI. Maybe we're just missing all the legal paperwork involved 😛

Why can't House hobble his ass out and do something crazy like jump out of a window?

You can pretty much see a theme going through most of the episodes; if they figured out the cure within 11 minutes of the show, you can expect a patient to go into complete shock and having to do about 5 different tests. Let's not forget the brainstorming on the board! Regardless, I love watching it.

Also the episode where Chase (IIRC) says it's a tick bite but they can't find the bite. Right at the end House finds a tick bite in her vagoo.

How dare you criticize that show. Anyone that knows anything can see the differences and character development that goes on in each episode! :|

This.

That and great writing, acting and humour, lol. Hugh Laurie and Robert Sean Leonard are especially good. Robert Sean Leonard stands out as a particularly good actor in several series. Despite how good House is as a character he is somewhat easier to play because he's always out there on a limb, always being sarcastic and mean. Wilson on the other had is much more of an Everyman and Robert plays him to a tee in many episodes!

What other shows is he on? I love his character in House and I'd be keen to see him in other shows. The only place I remember seeing him is that Robin Williams movie from way back (name escapes me right now).

Not much that I know of there. If house is any indicator though the guy has real talent!!

eh, my parents are in the medical field and my mom always complained how unrealistic it is, but now she watches every week.
It's entertainment, of course it's full of shit =)
