yea this thread has me confused. OP has bragged on many occasions about how much money he makes yet he cannot afford to own a house or let alone live in a house with a decent front door? :hmm:

I'm in the process of getting a permit to build a house. I'd love to tell you guys all the details of my life but I don't want to bore you all to death.
 
ok, understandable. but why rent such a shitty house?

I didn't really want to go above $3200.

It's a decent house in a good neighborhood. LA is just one of those places where you have 3 blocks of million dollar homes, then the next block is the freakin barrio. I knew the landlord was a cheap ass and I didn't know the door was crap until of course we got broken into.

I'm pretty late in the game in the permit process and we've settled in for 2 years so I really would rather not move until the house is finished. If the permit process falls through then I would probably wait until the market falls a bit more then buy a house.

That’s because the OP is full of BS and contradicts himself all the time. Guess I just caught it faster than others. See sig for one of his more affluent gaffes.
