The HDD price nowadays is practically a give-away, IMO. This is just plain crazy!!! Not sure what the deal is? Inventories? It must have been. I paid $85 not long ago for a Seagate 300GB SATA300 and I thought it was a steal.

 
$10+tax for a 300gb WD drive? Buy a bucket of IDE->SATA converters and it's still better than any Black Friday sales deal!!

Both the $80 MIR and $20 MIR are valid for a drive purchase up to 7/30/06. Now if I could only buy 5 of these for a RAID 5 array..... 😀
