So did anyone bite this one yet? I already have my mouse covering the add to cart button. Has anyone had bad experiences with compusa rebates? I heard somewhere that you can file them online, but would you still need to send something in the mail. Thanks for the deal OP.

I bought one about 15 minutes before I posted about it, and haven't dealt with their rebates for a few years now. I used to hit them up all the time when I lived in Zonie land, but there isn't a CompUSA anywhere close to me to partake of their rebate specials. Still, I don't remember having too many problem with them.

You can submit the rebate through erebates.compusa.com and do NOT have to send in paperwork once you've done so.
 
Rebate doesn't allow for purchases at Retail stores. Dead is dead I guess. Nice find op, sorry I missed it 🙂

Now, if the drives comes available again, the offer just became ridiculously *SMOKIN*. A co-worker came across a second Rebate for another $20 off the drive, bringing the total to a wallet robbing $9.98 + shipping. The rebate page shows that the original $80 runs through 7/20, but the actual rebate form states that it runs through 7/30. Concurrent rebates rock if anyone can land a drive before the expiration of both rebates.

$.04/GB anyone?

I don't think the deal will come back. I was at my local compusa store last friday and they've had this drive on sale in store at $109 marked as 'manager special'. My guess would be this drive is B&M only nationwide.
